What August says

August is the biggest month this site has had, by a wide margin. Clicks more than doubled, impressions more than doubled again on top of July's jump, and organic visitors grew 114%. August alone brought in more search clicks than December through March combined.

This is the June and July work maturing. Content published and links built over those two months take roughly this long to show up in rankings, and August is when they landed together.

One number went down, and it is worth explaining. Click-through rate eased from 1.10% to 0.97%. That is the normal signature of a site being shown for far more searches than before: many of those new impressions sit at positions 10 to 30, where few people click. Clicks tripled while the rate dipped, which is a good problem. It will keep drifting while visibility grows faster than rankings mature, then reverse as those rankings climb.

Rankings

Checked live on Google Australia, 2 September 2026, across your 27 tracked keywords. The July column is our manual monthly check and the live column is an automated check, so they are two different instruments reading the same site.

The two big ones: "fraser island accommodation" and "accommodation on fraser island", each searched about 9,900 times a month in Australia, now sit at 12 and 13. As recently as May, neither ranked anywhere. Getting these two into the top 10 is the highest-value work available.

Still to crack: "beachfront accommodation", "beach house accommodation" and "fraser island accommodation packages" have not ranked yet. They need their own pages rather than a mention inside an existing one.

AI answers

Google now runs an AI answer above the results on 7 of your 27 tracked searches, and on one of them, "best place to stay on fraser island", that AI answer cites The Haven. You rank 9th on the same search. Worth searching it yourself to see.

Visits from AI assistants also hit 12 in August, the highest on record. Small numbers, but this is the channel that decides the next few years, and being quoted this early is ahead of schedule.
